Feeling really moody today. After such a high energy weekend teaching, my energy today is really down. Really moody, I want to work but I can't seem to move. And I have a pretty damm good reason too.
I'm not gonna post this in my social networks as this blog has much lower traffic and I feel comfortable ranting here.
For a moment, imagine meeting a person you truly admire / desire and inspire the fuck out of you. Won't that change your life? No matter how short the time, meeting and talking to this person is really gonna make a shift in your life. Who are your celebrities you really want to meet and chat up in person? Give a small thought to it.
For me, are these 3. Elon Musk, Tony Robbins and Gary Vee.
I really admire them and very cell in my body wants to do what they do. It makes me happy. It gives me hope. I will be eternally grateful if I'm given the chance to talk to them in person. It's literally gonna change my life. So now, imagine you are given to chance to meet one of them.
I was given the chance to meet Gary Vee. Talk to him, shake his hands, take a photo etc. I gave it up tho I didn't have too. You see, I spend most of my weekends teaching classes. I don't need to be teaching every class as I have a pool of over 10 teachers to teach. However as I'm always training people to better themselves and be better then me, deep inside me, I had this gut feeling I will be needed during the class. Base on this gut feeling, I gave up my chance, I stayed back in class and true enough, things happened. End of the day, class ended beautifully, students feeling empowered and inspired for a financial future they can truly see. However I'm left with this huge void.
I can't be unhappy as student's priority always come 1st, and deep down I truly want others to grow, but I really can't help feel really down. Well, this is my rant. If I had to make the same decision again, I would do the same. I just ranted to my dad over lunch and he knew I would have made that choice. Just my dad knowing me better then I know myself. I'll get over it.
Truth be told, most of us are fundamentally lazy. That is just being human.
Im a potato at chinese. I can’t read and speak like an idiot. I’m as potato as a potato gets. The thing is, i have to conduct a class in Chinese and if you put yourself in my shoes, no matter how good you are, you start to question yourself. Millions of questions.
However, being human, most of us do amazing task when we are forced into a situation. I want to make a change, i want people to grow, that’s my higher calling. So i started speaking chinese, mentally preparing myself and keep visioning i was Jay Chou but more handsome.
End of it all, i connected with an amazing bunch of people, got to know some of them with amazing stories, backgrounds, connections and respect on another level.
So how do you set yourself up to win? Just setup a situation where you no choice have to do it. Examples like declaring to others “ i’m gonna write a book by October else i will treat all of you dinner”, “I’m gonna lose 5kg by November else i will give everyone $50”
Onwards to your goals.. cheers..
